An audience with Kate Moss to celebrate her 15 years with Rimmel? We were there faster than you can say ‘Croydon’
he’s the ultimate supermodel who’s graced every catwalk and magazine cover out there, yet Kate Moss, 42, has insecurities like the rest of us. Features Director Danielle Hine hung out with our favourite Brit girl and found even more reasons to love her…
‘My beauty mantra is not to take it too seriously. Have fun! Don’t be uptight – enjoy it. I love it, but it’s not everything.
If I had to choose between getting my make-up or hair done properly, it would be my make-up. I don’t really go for a hair ’do – it’s more of a hair don’t! I like it to look undone.
My eyeliner flick tip? I go from the corner of my eye to the end of my brow, pulling out the area around my eye as I line it. I don’t always get it right – actually, if it looks good, then it probably wasn’t me who did it!
The biggest lesson I’ve learnt about make-up is to use a brush, not my fingers! I never used to wear a lot of base when I was younger – it was more kohl and eyeliner. But now I’m older I wear a little bit more. And I’m learning more about shading my cheeks and contouring my eyes, too.
The one piece of advice I’d give my younger self is to wear sunscreen. I like one by La Roche-Posay – it doesn’t give you a white, greasy face. You can just put it on and you’re done. I’m on a 50 now – and by that I don’t mean my age!
Believe it or not, I feel really nervous on the red carpet. I never know what I’m going to wear until the very last minute. I’m so disorganised and I’m always changing my mind about my outfit. Then I spend the whole time in the car worrying about things getting creased.
My beauty muse is Joan Collins. I took a selfie with her and she looked younger than me! Seriously, she looks so good.’
